The under 21’s won their home game at Sparrow’s Lane against Swansea City 1-0 with our sponsored player, Terry Taylor continuing his return from injury by scoring the decisive goal within 3 minutes of the start.
News yesterday that James Abankwah has ended his loan spell and returned to Italian club Udinese. I’m convinced that was announced several weeks ago but perhaps wasn’t finalised until now.
Just one more day after today for transfers to be completed, apart from free agents of course, but don’t hold up too much hope there!
We had a nice hotel stay in Charlestown yesterday after completing another 18 miles of the Fife Coast Path. That took us to 78 miles in total over 5 days. Today Marianne was determined that we do a two mile walk before breakfast to make it up to 80! So we did a nice circular walk around Charlestown and the Broomhall estate in very strong winds. It was dry, as it has been throughout the six days we have been in Fife but the rain started soon after we left the hotel to drive home at 9.30 am. We were very lucky with the weather. The lesson we did learn though was not to pack so many clothes in our rucksacks.
