Well not the ‘Pounding for Posh’ we were hoping for yesterday but at least the second half performance was a big improvement on the first and Alfie May is back and scoring again. The three new signings, who got minutes on the pitch, all showed glimpses of what they can bring to future performances. I was also encouraged by the performance of Lucas Ness and hope he might get more games over the remainder of the season. Both he and Deji Elewere have contracts that are due up in the summer.
I wonder if Jonson Clarke-Harris was watching the game from the sidelines
Looks like Derby County are trying to get a deal on Corey Blackett-Taylor. A shame we have to play them twice in February!
Charlton under 18s beat Bristol City under 18s 2-1 in the league match yesterday. That should be a confidence booster for those who play in next Wednesdays FA Youth Cup game.
A big game for the Charlton women today when they travel to Ipswich to play their WFA Cup match.
1.00 pm Ipswich Town Women v Charlton Women (WFA Cup).
With Dunfermline carrying even more injuries in their first team squad than Charlton, there was many an Airdrie fan thinking the postponement of yesterdays game due to a waterlogged pitch at East End Park, caused by a faulty undersoil heating system, was somewhat suspicious!
