The big news yesterday was Corey Blackett-Taylor going on loan to Derby County for a fee and options to make the deal permanent at the end of the season. It also appears that he will be eligible to play against us in the two games we still have to play against Derby this season. The club took a chance with him, some three years ago, and he grew into his role and has brought some of the best attacking play into the team this season.
Charlton have signed a goalkeeper, Lewis Ward on a contract to the end of the season.
News also yesterday that academy player Harvey Kedwell has joined Dagenham and Redbridge on loan for the remainder of the season. Hope he gets plenty of game time.
Oh and Michael Appleton is still head coach.
The under 21s game is still on the Charlton app as going ahead today, despite there being the important FA Youth Cup match for the under 18s tonight. Will be interesting to see who turns out for the under 21s if this game goes ahead.
1.00 pm Watford u21s v Charlton u21s
Another important game for the first team tonight and very likely a ‘must win game’ for the head coach Michael Appleton if he is to survive in post for much longer.
7.45 pm Charlton v Northampton Town
The twice rearranged FA Youth Cup tie is scheduled for tonight.
7.00 pm Bristol City u18s v Charlton u18s, FA Youth Cup 4th Round.
Final thought, will any of these games be affected by the weather, either to prevent them being played or making play difficult because of stormy conditions?
