In the top of the table local derby yesterday Charlton Women beat Crystal Palace away 1-0 and are top of the Women’s Championship. There are still 8 league games to go and Charlton are still to host rivals for the top spot Birmingham City and travel away to Sunderland. Plenty of excitement to come before the season’s end.
Freya Godfrey was stretchered off after a collision with an opposition player just before half time. Let’s hope she isn’t too badly injured and our thoughts are with her.
Still no sign of January coming to an end, even though it has already lasted three months! Still time for more activity in the transfer window, which of course doesn’t end until 11 pm on Thursday 1 February!
Another 16 miles of hiking for Marianne and I yesterday from Elie to the Coaltown of Wemyss. So far avoiding any rain but some very strong winds today. As I followed the Charlton Women’s game on Twitter Freda Ayisi’s goal came as we were making the final mile of our walk from East Wemyss, and helped me forget the various aches and pains accumulated during the day!
