Yesterday’s result at Blackpool provides some hope that Charlton will at least avoid relegation this season. A lot of luck involved to secure a precious point on the road.
I managed to listen to the first half and watch the second half on Charlton TV. Was good to see some Charlton Fans in Scotland had made the trip and a very special day too for 9 year old Harris who was a mascot for Charlton.
The under 21’s put out a young side and they lost 4-0 at Bournemouth. The under 18’s secured an important 2-1 home win over Swansea City at home.
Today’s game is the table topping local derby at Crystal Palace for the women.
2.00 pm Crystal Palace Women v Charlton Women.
Marianne and I hiked over 18 miles yesterday with heavy rucksacks and our bodies and feet know that! Weather has been kind and the scenery has been wonderful and very varied. We passed lots of folk out walking their dogs yesterday. An overnight stay at an Airbnb in Elie and an evening meal at the Ship Inn near the harbour.
Today we will continue on our long walk to Coaltown of Wemyss.
